Say wut? Wal-Mart selling Battlefield 3, Gears 3, and more for $28 on Black Friday

Wal-Mart outed its insane list of Black Friday deals, and in terms of the video game section, there's a lot to  choose from here. 

You can pick up shooters such as Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Killzone 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops--all on either systen--for a mere $28. 

Those who have some older games to go through, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Uncharted 2 will be on sale for $15. 

This all goes down Thanksgiving night at 10 p.m. and lasts all day that immediate Friday. What will you be picking up?

Steam discounts Borderlands and add-ons

Borderlands and each of its downloadable add-ons are currently 75%-off on Steam until November 1. That means you can search for some loot while also saving some loot. It's a win-win situation, basically. Oddly, the Claptrap add-on wasn't listed.

250GB Xbox 360 bundle features Halo: Reach, Fable III

Major Nelson announced on his blog today two Xbox 360 holiday bundles--both featuring a 250GB HDD, two games, and a three-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold. Game-wise, one of the bundles is less than exciting, packing-in Kinect Adventures and Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do, though it does also include a Kinect. The other bundle is a bit more explosive, and...heroic, packing-in Halo: Reach and Fable III. 

The Kinect bundle will retail for $399, and the Reach bundle will retail for $299, both of which are now shipping to retailers and will be around for the holiday season. 

ToysRus hosting "Buy 2, get 1 free"

Every once in a while, ToysRus will host a deal that is so inviting that it's rather hard to pass it up. This week, the retailer is hosting such a deal with its "Buy 2, get 1 free" promotion. This sale applies to all video games, accessories, game guides, and t-shirts, so you have a lot to pick from.

This sale also makes it the perfect time to pick up respawn-centric titles such as Gears of War 3, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Resistance 3, Bulletstorm, and even Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon.

THQ Week on Steam discounts entire THQ catalog

THQ is having a massive blowout on Steam this week, with Metro 2033 costing a solid Lincoln. That's $5, for you history flunks.

The THQ Hit Collection is also half-off, selling for $50, which includes titles such as Red Faction: Guerrilla, Red Faction: Armageddon, Homefront, Saints Row 2, and Darksiders.

If you prefer to just purchase one of those titles, or any THQ game for that matter, the entire catalog of games is on sale at 33% off. More discounts are said to be announced as the week goes on.

There's a whole heaping of Call of Duty sales on Xbox Live this week

Whatever isn't sold gets torched!

This week, the Xbox Live Marketplace is hosting what appears to be a Call of Duty blowout sale, where they are virtually cleaning house on anything Call of Duty--though, being a downloadable store, it's quite impossible to run out of stock.

Be that as it may, there's quite a bit of content to save some cash on, with the biggest of the "deals" being Call of Duty: Black Ops priced at $49.99, and Modern Warfare 2 priced at $34.99. While these are technically deals for the Marketplace, a thrifty consumer can pick up both titles at way cheaper prices pretty much anywhere else; the "X-factor" in that equation is whether or not you want to drive all the way to the store.

Other deals are to be had as well, with Modern Warfare 2's "Stimulus Package" priced at 600 MS Points, and all of World at War's DLC priced at 400 MS Points. Check here for the full "Everything must go" list.

Need a headset at the right price? Turtle Beach's X11 can do the trick

Communication is key with online shooters, and with the amount of shooters coming out this fall--Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, and Resistance 3 just to name a few--you'll definitely need a mic. If you're in the market for a headset and can't afford to spend much cash, the Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 headset for the Xbox 360 is right up your alley. This USB powered headset also works for the PC and Mac, and connects through audio in/out cables.

Whether you prefer to connect the X11 to your television, Xbox 360 controller, or even surround sound set up, that functionality is available, as you'll get splitters and a controller connector inside the box.

Target is selling the Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 headphones for $47.99 this week, a savings of $12. If you prefer electronics retailer Best Buy, you can pick up the X11s there as well for $49.99.

As always, Amazon beats both outlets, selling the X11 for $45.99.

Turtle Beach is a well-known brand, and with their other products costing upwards of $100, you really can't go wrong with the Ear Force X11. Heck, I didn't.

[Similarly, the PlayStation 3 has the Ear Force P11 headset for $59.95 on Turtle Beach's website, and although I can't speak for this model, its description is similar to that of the X11.]

Brink free-to-play on Steam this weekend, also 50% off

It's certainly quite the weekend for Bethesda Softworks/Splash Damage's classed-based multiplayer shooter Brink; I mean, first the game's "Agents of Change" DLC has released this week, and now those on Steam can play Brink for free all weekend long! If that weren't good enough, you can also purchase the game for $29.98, a savings of 50%. If you were on the brink of purchasing this one, perhaps now you have your chance.

Brink is $20 today on Amazon

While Splash Damage/Bethesda Softwork's class-based multiplayer FPS Brink was not the smash-hit people thought it was going to be, that isn't to say the game is entirely bad. If you had some interest in the game before then you may want to pick it up on Amazon by day's end, as the online retailer is currently selling the Brink for $19.99--a savings of $39.99.

Brink is definitely a fun multiplayer romp, especially with some buds. For $20, you really can't go wrong.

Call of Duty: Black Ops/First Strike Bundle, 'Annihilation' DLC Out Today

I dub today the official-unofficial Call of Duty: Black Ops day! First up, the recently revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops/First Strike DLC bundle is out today for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a price-tag of $59.99.

Secondly, the third outing in the Black Ops DLC tour has finally made its way on the Xbox 360, and you can queue up the "Annihilation" DLC for 1200 MS Points. The DLC will surely make its way to the PlayStation 3 and PC at some point, though no official date has been revealed as of yet.

Yeah, Brink is Worth About $40

I wanted to love Brink, but in the end its $59.99 price tag-to-content ratio left me a bit underwhelmed. Well, for the next few days that's all going to change, because until June 28 Brink is on sale at GameStop for $39.99--an appropriate price if you ask me.

The multiplayer, while not the second coming of multiplayer gaming, is still a fun, class-based romp. And don't forget the free batch of DLC that is releasing, along with a hefty patch!

Oh, just don't pick up Brink expecting a rich story...
