Merry Australian Christmas...Smissmas...what have you, Team Fortress 2 junkies. The free "Australian Christmas" update grants players two class packs, holiday swag, a new map, more achievements, and discounted Mann Co. items.
Engineers and Pyros can also zip up their brainiac and moonman suits... respectively, of course: Brainiacs have gone mad with new gadgets -- the Pomson 6000, which cripples medics and spies, and the Eureka Effect, a wrench that teleports the user back to spawn. Moonmen space out with their new arsenal -- the Third Degree, an axe that'll transfer damage to the opponent and their medics, the Phlogistinator, a flamethrower that'll increase the "Mmmph" meter and allow pyros to heal themselves and give one guaranteed critical hit for each teammate for a limited time duration, and lastly, the Manmelter 3600 ZX, a gadget that'll extinguish teammates and grant them one guaranteed critical hit.
Get into the holiday spirit with double item drop rates and holiday goodies such as the Holiday Puncher Mitts, the Spy-cicle, and the Wrap Assassin. Naughty and Nice crates will contain these special items and they're only available until December 22 along with the drop rate boost. Happy Holidays!
