EA ironing out Battlefield 3's online servers

Those who purchased Battlefield 3 last week have without a doubt experienced less than stellar online server performance. From lag-filled games to constant disconnects, I'm sure we can all agree Battlefield 3 has been off to a shaky start with its online component.

Speaking to Kotaku, EA stated that this will soon be rectified, with the PlayStation 3 and PC camps already experiencing more server stability over the weekend, and the Xbox 360's servers currently at "95 percent and rising."

"There were a number of different factors that impacted server connectivity across the platforms," an EA spokesperson stated. "Regardless of the cause or platform, our Online teams are standing by to identify the issues as they rise. We will not rest until we're at 100 percent."

In terms of the Xbox 360's servers, EA explained there are different factors affecting it, particularly its "complex server architecture."

Origin's connectivity and authentication problems have also been stabilized, and EA states they will continue to monitor the situation.

How have your experiences been with playing Battlefield 3 online? All silky smooth for the most part? Or barely playable?
