According to a tweet by DICE's Frederik Thylander, an upcoming patch for Battlefield 3 will see the jets getting a buff.
At this point, it's unknown what the "buff" actually is, though it could mean extra weaponry attached to the jets, as BF3Blog speculates--and a buff usually implies extra strength--or a refined control scheme. Everything's up in the air, so to speak, and the buff was only mentioned when a fan told Thylander that the jets "suck balls."
