Deal: Portal 2 on sale and it's half off

Get Portal 2 for half its original price, $14.99, thanks to Steam's Midweek Madness. The deal ends on October 6.

While you're at it, "Peer Review" DLC just came out this week. Pick it up if you haven't yet. Don't worry, it's free.

Free Portal 2 DLC finally dated for October 4

Remember the free Portal 2 downloadable content that was supposed to come out in the summer? Well, it's called "Peer Review," and it'll finally be available for download on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 4.

"Peer Review" has Atlas and P-Body pairing up for more action in a new co-op test track. It also adds a challenge mode for both single-player and multiplayer with leaderboard support.

Speaking of free Portal 2 stuff, Valve hooks people up with the last volume of the game's soundtrack. Cheers to complete soundtracks!

Speaking of peer review, how would you evaluate Valve now?

Whatever it may be, Portal 2 is getting free DLC next month

While originally planned for a summer release, Portal 2's first--and free--downloadable content pack has now shifted towards a September release, with Valve at Gamescom stating the technicality of September still being "summer."

Portal 2's First DLC Doesn't Discriminate its Freedom

Having fun co-oping around the brain-teasers of Portal 2? If you are, then you'll be glad to find out that the first downloadable content offering for Portal 2 will be absolutely free! Also, players spanning every system can take advantage of this free-DLC--that means everybody on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Mac are eligible.

Not much else is known about the first DLC except that it will be releasing this summer, but Valve did say that the content will offer "new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more."

Sounds like you can already be hyped for this DLC! We'll keep you updated on it as more details are...detailed.

PS3's Steam Features Detailed

The arrival of Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 also comes with the addition of PS3 Steam support. With Steam on the PlayStation 3, players are able to cross-platform check their friends list, conduct cross-platform chat, matchmaking, and can view both their Steam and global achievements. Players can even access downloaded content that was first registered on a PC or Mac. Pretty much everything for Portal 2 can be accessed cross-platform.

One particularly awesome feature with Steam on the PS3 is the ability to load up Portal 2 single-player and co-operative save files on any PlayStation 3 system via the Steam Cloud. Unfortunately, you can't load up PS3 saves on a PC/Mac.

Purchasing Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 also gives you the ability to play it on a PC or Mac at no extra cost, certainly something to consider for those interested in the game.

Portal 2 is releasing next Tuesday, April 19 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
