Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 22 in the US, and May 24 in the UK, Ubisoft revealed today. Ubisoft also confirmed that it will launch on the PC at a later date. Future Soldier was originally set for a March 6 release. A multiplayer beta, or rather, demo, as I see it, will come sometime in April for both consoles.
"Today, we are feature complete in our multiplayer, single player, and four-player cooperative campaign modes. We have taken the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience," said Ubisoft Studios' Adrian Lacey, IP development director. "We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks."
The last we heard of Ghost Recon on PC, Future Soldier was replaced by a free-to-play shooter due to piracy concerns, though it appears the platform will now get both games. We've contacted Ubisoft for more information.
