Ruffian Games looking to do a CryEngine 3 title

Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian Games has put out a job listing [via Digital Spy] seeking a senior designer that has CryEngine 3 experience. Additionally, the listing states that networking, physics, and AI knowledge will be advantageous to the role.

Ruffian recently stated they signed "a major contract with one of the biggest publishers in the industry to create a AAA game for current generation consoles." The fact that the term "AAA" was used in the statement, I was not so quick to assume that Crackdown 3 was what the company was working on. Now that Crytek's CryEngine 3 is looking to be used for the project, I am even more cautious, though I am excited to see what new project Ruffian is working on. It could be TimeSplitters 4, which was rumored to be both in development and built on CryEngine 3 last year.

However, lead level designer Sean Noonan's LinkedIn profile states that, in addition to the unannounced CryEngine 3 project, Ruffian is working on four other games, one of which is a third-person action title with another publisher. That could be Crackdown 3, and yes, I love the Crackdown series.
