Gears of War 3's campaign DLC takes notes from Borderlands, Grand Theft Auto IV

Downloadable add-ons for Gears of War 3s' campaign have been confirmed, and in an interview with The Telegraph Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski mentioned the content won't include Marcus Fenix or Dominic Santiago. Instead, the campaign downloadable content will be similar to that of Borderlands' "Mad Moxie" and Grand Theft Auto IV's "The Ballad of Gay Tony" add-ons.

"One thing I can tell you is that you're not going to see Marcus or Dom or Cole in it," Bleszinski said. "I believe that DLC should be unique and cool, like 'Lost and the Damned,' 'Gay Tony,' 'Mad Moxie's Underdome Riot.' All those kind of things. DLC's the place where you play and have fun."

Those who picked up Gears of War 3 can still opt for the new "Season Pass," a $30 purchase that nabs you the first four add-on packs at a 33% discount.
