GoldenEye 007: Reloaded gets two new characters, and a "Dam" demo

Activision has announced a few tidbits of GoldenEye 007: Reloaded news today: First, those who have yet to purchase Reloaded can play the newly released demo on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which features the game's first mission, the iconic "Dam" level.

Second, some downloadable characters are coming your way if you already own Reloaded--Pussy Galore and Emilio Largo. Galore is available for download today, and Largo will be available on Tuesday, December 20 on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store. Each character costs $2.

These new characters aren't just skins, either. Galore, being her quick and agile self, can sprint for two seconds longer than everyone else, and she regains lost health 25% faster. She can also switch between weapons faster, reload 25% quicker, and uses high-capacity magazines in her guns, effectively adding 20% more bullets to each clip.

Largo, on the other hand, in addition to also being able to swap and reload weapons quickly, benefits from 25% improved accuracy. In terms of damage, Largo has a two-meter increased radius on his frags, and deals 25% more damage.

Some interesting buffs contained within each new character. Which, if any, will you get?

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded MI6 Ops Debut Trailer

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is out today for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and in the above video you can see its brand new single-player mode, "Mi6 Ops," which is exclusive to the aforementioned systems.

"Mi6 Ops" has four game-types from which players can choose--Elimination, Defense, Stealth, Assault--and they play out in different levels from the single-player campaign. Surely a good time for the stealthy folk.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded launch trailer

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is coming out next week, so naturally we have a launch trailer for it. Not much to say here that hasn't already been said--it's a high-definition version of last year's Wii title, GoldenEye 007, and will feature the classic multiplayer gameplay we all know and love.

Those buying Reloaded on the PlayStation 3 can also opt for the "Double 'O' Edition" bundle, which packs a PlayStation Move setup and Sharpshooter peripheral.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded Combat Walkthrough

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will be releasing next month, on November 1. The game runs at 60-frames per second, and that helps keep the firefights as smooth as possible. The video above shows off some combat mechanics from the game and it takes place in the game's Severnaya level, and I think it will give you a good idea of the game-play you can expect from the game.

Do any of you plan on purchasing GoldenEye 007: Reloaded for either the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 when it releases barely 2 weeks from now?

Demo GoldenEye 007: Reloaded next month

The HD port of last year's GoldenEye 007 will see a demo early next month on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store, GamerZines reports.

There are no details as to what will be included in the demo, though it is set to hit within the first two weeks of November, roughly around the release of Reloaded. Odds are, diehard fans of Bond have already made up their minds on whether or not they'll buy Reloaded.

Amazon offers a black Moonraker laser rifle skin.

Best Buy grants early access to Tag and Invisibility modes in local split-screen and private online matches. Tag mode entails the tagged player to kill their enemies only in close quarter combat. Invisibility mode offers all players stealth for a limited amount of time.

GoldenEye Reloaded gets "Double 'O' Edition" Move bundle

Akin to what Sony did with the Resistance 3 "Doomsday Edition," Activision is releasing a GoldenEye 007: Reloaded PlayStation Move bundle--dubbed "Double 'O' Edition"--alongside the standalone game on November 1. In the package you'll get, of course, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a Move controller, navigation controller, a PlayStation Eye, and the Sharpshooter peripheral. There's no pricing details yet, but let's assume $149.99, again, akin to the aforementioned "Doomsday Edition."
