Resident Evil 6 logo spotted in the wild

A snapshot from an alleged Capcom event in Japan shows the logo for Resident Evil 6. Found just below the title is the date of September 15, 2011, the first day of the Tokyo Game Show. Perhaps, just perhaps this means that Capcom plans on unveiling the new zombie-filled shooter that day.

Oh, and I hope there's no forced co-operative play.

[Review] Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

The drought of playable games on Nintendo's revolutionary 3DS handheld is slowly coming to a close, and next up is Capcom's Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, a $39.99 title based around the series' highly popular mini-game. Is it worth the price-tag to slay zombies against the clock, or should you conserve your ammo (and money) for something else?

FINALLY! Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Dated

If you're like me, and wanted your mits on Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D since it was announced, you can finally rejoice. Capcom-Unity finally made a concrete release date for Mercs 3D, which happens to be June 28, via the game's newest trailer which is embedded after the jump.

Additionally, Capcom officially revealed that the youngest S.T.A.R.S. member Rebecca Chambers is the seventh playable character in the game, although we had already seen video of her in action.

Quite frankly, I can't wait until the sour taste left in my mouth from Mercenaries on the iOS is gone...

Hey, You've got Zombies in Your Pocket!

While 3DS owners are patiently awaiting the arrival of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D to release, iOS owners are able to take it to the horde of Las Plagas with Capcom's newest iOS game, Resident Evil Mercenaries VS. The game boasts online play via Wi-Fi, a first for Capcom, as well as local play through Bluetooth for up to 2 v 2 team play.

Single-player training and a Coin Shooting mode are also available, providing a hefty package for its initial $2.99 price-tag. Yes, we said "initial", because sometime in the future Mercenaries VS will cost its regular price, which, has not been confirmed yet.

There are three characters to choose from: Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker, all of which sport their own unique loadouts. As of now there are only three maps to play on, but considering Capcom's track record with their other iOS title, Street Fighter IV and its plentiful updates, we hope more content comes in the future.

"Resident Evil Mercenaries VS. will only run on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod touch 4th, iPod touch 3rd 16GB and 32GB, or better. NOT COMPATIBLE to iPhone 3G, iPod touch 1st, 2nd, 3rd 8GB."

Capcom Set to Release Replica Resident Evil Merchandise

Capcom has announced today that as part of the Resident Evil 15th anniversary celebration they will be releasing replica RE merchandise. What this means is that anyone who loves important gaming related gear will soon go broke.

From the looks of the merchandise site, expect to see hats, t-shirts and models. The real kicker though, is the air-soft replica of Chris Redfield's Samurai Edge gun, which will cost around $250. Now you'll be able to take your halloween costume to the next level this year...without breaking any laws of course.

PC Modders Create Visually Upgraded Resident Evil 4

Even though we have to wait a little while for the official HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica, PC modders are already living the dream. How, you ask? Well, I don't know the specifics for sure, but the end product of RE4 featured below is quite gorgeous.

New Mercenaries Trailer Portrays the War on Horror

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is set to hit the Nintendo 3DS this summer, and another new trailer has hit the world. The trailer, while rather short, showcases what Mercenaries will offer, ranging from co-operative play to having thirty unique missions.

Capcom Releases New Trailer for Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D

This morning, Capcom released a new trailer for Mercenaries 3D featuring Jill Valentine & Wesker. The video is basically a teaser showing off the two characters in the game and some of their melee moves.

Resident Evil Revelations demo to be included with Mercenaries 3D

As part of the ongoing anniversary celebration of Resident Evil, Capcom announced today that this summer along with the release of Mercenaries 3D fans will also receive demo access to "Revelations". Revelations will put you in control of series original Jill Valentine who just so happens to be stuck on an ocean liner filled with zombies. Only time will tell, where the plot will take us, but expect more of the usual zombie killing, puzzle solving goodness.

Resident Evil 4 & Code Veronica HD Ports to be Released as Digital Titles this Fall

Capcom announced today that the HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 as well as Code Veronica will be released as digital download titles for the 360 & Ps3 this fall. Those who had doubts that the games may not make it to the US, can breathe a sigh of relief. The titles will be released separately, so you won't have to buy both if you're so inclined to.

Check out the press release below.

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D Dated for Japan

The lack of a killer 3DS launch lineup will soon be rectified in Japan, as Andriasang notes that the latest issue of Famitsu gives the game a June 2 release date. Additionally, Albert Wesker and Jill Valentine are said to be playable characters, with Wesker focusing on heavy weaponry and Valentine being more "balanced".

Capcom stated at the Nintendo 3DS event in January that the game will release in the summer for the U.S., so let's hope for date similar to June 2.

Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica Getting HD Remakes

Those who thought Resident Evil 5 was a bit on the lame side will be happy to hear that Capcom is releasing both Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica on the same disc, and re-mastered in high definition. Allegedly called "Resident Evil: Revival Selection HD Remastered Version" (let's hope not), this re-re-release of two classic games from the series will be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 according to Famitsu.

The collection is also said to include the Ada Wong missions found in Resident Evil 4.

The bummer with this news, however, is that the collection is dated for Japan only at the moment.

Maybe, just maybe my dream will come true and RE4 will be ported to the 3DS.
