All Points Bulletin: Reloaded surpasses 3 million users; First major update released

All Points Bulletin: Reloaded has surpassed 3 million registered users, and is also ranked second among the most popular free games on Steam, publisher GamersFirst today announced. But that's not all; retailers like Wal-Mart, GameStop, Best Buy, and Target will soon be supporting APB: Reloaded with boxed-copies in their stores across North America. It will sell for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Those who opt for the boxed-version will also get more than $50-worth of unique in-game items.

"We recognized the potential for APB: Reloaded to be a true breakout hit in the Free2Play category all through beta testing," said Rahul Sandil, Senior VP of marketing and business development for GamersFirst. "We quickly amassed a vocal, dedicated community, and they've been instrumental in growing the game and helping better the experience."

[a]list games, a digital game marketer, also contributed in helping Reloaded gain visibility to a wider audience.

All Points Bulletin: Reloaded will also see its first major content update with the release of "Fight Club," a session-based pick-up-and-play mode. It allows players to fight in 32-player battles and boost their in-game status in modes like "Team Deathmatch" and "King of the Hill."

APB Reloaded beta now public on Steam

With the holidays coming up, and a bunch of free time becoming available, it may be the perfect time to check out All Points Bulletin: Reloaded, the GTA-style MMO whose beta is now available to the public on Steam.

Join the fray before December 19 to receive a 10-day "Premium Upgrade Pack," which includes the Joker SR315 Carbine, which can have two custom modifications attached, and perks such as up to 90% more XP earnings, 125% increase on all in-game currency earnings, 20% discount at Armas Marketplace, 50% reduced cooldown on active abilities, and advanced access to customization suites.

Get Early Access to the All Points Bulletin: Reloaded Beta

GamersFirst is closing in on the May 18 open-beta date for All Points Bulletin: Reloaded, but until then the company will be letting "most people" access the beta a bit early. All you need to do in order to be one of the 'few' 40,000 people who gain early access is create a GamersFirst account and submit your e-mail address on the APB frontpage. Easy enough, right?

The APB: Reloaded blog also mentions that the game is said to have a new ranking-system and add new spawning tweaks during the open-beta, though, some of the other new features may be added beforehand.

GamersFirst has already let a group of about 40,000 people into the beta (which is currently still in closed form), so sign-up today and see if you can play All Points Bulletin: Reloaded before the actual open-beta on May 18!
