2K Games revealed today The Darkness 2's multiplayer mode, which ditches the competitive aspect and delves headstrong into co-operative play with "Vendettas."
"Vendettas" is playable with up to three others, four in total, and features four new characters, each with unique weapons and abilities. Jimmy Wilson, for example, is a drunk Scotsman who wields the Dark Axe and can summon Darklings to take down his foes. Shoshanna, on the other hand, is an Israeli agent who wields some serious firepower. Inugami is the quick and deadly Japanese swordsman who is hellbent on serving revenge, and lastly, J.P. DuMond is a witch doctor capable of creating black holes. All four of these characters use the power of the Darkness to overcome their obstacles.
They can also dual-wield their unique weapons with another single-armed weapon, such as a pistol or submachine gun.
"Vendettas" pits these four characters against The Brotherhood as they assist main character Jackie Estacado, and they will tackle various missions across a multitude of environments.
The Darkness 2 is set to release February 7 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
