Battlefield 3 cheaters whacked with banhammer

Those of you who happen to be using less than honorable ways to play Battlefield 3 multiplayer best stop immediately, because EA isn't taking your deceitfulness lightly.

According to the official Battlefield Twitter account, hundreds of cheaters and hackers have been banned from online access across every platform in the past week, as the company has "zero tolerance for cheating players."

According to the BF3 Blog, cheaters are using a glitch that allows the Engineer class to rack up tens of thousands of experience points with the repair tool, which realistically won't be subtle in the scoreboard.

A new patch is set to roll out soon, and EA will continue to ban cheaters upon its arrival.
