People Can Fly feels Bulletstorm went too far with the language

...and here I was thinking I was the only one who felt this way.

Well, it appears not, as Bulletstorm's Polish developer--that part comes into play in a minute--People Can Fly finally admits that the game's raunchy dialogue went a bit too far, and it was more than what the studio "really wanted."

Attempting to reason the whole situation, creative director Adrian Chmielarz asked Game Developer, "Do you know any swear word in a foreign language? German, French, Polish? When you say it out loud, no biggie, right? Not a problem to use it during a family dinner, I assume?"

"That is how all the f-bombs sounded to us," Chmielarz explained. "Being Polish, all the strong language in Bullestorm was just exotic and fun to us. We did not feel its power. In other words, Epic thought this is what we wanted and respected our creative vision, while we had no idea this vision was a bit more than what we really wanted."

Chmielarz ended the topic by saying he realized the extent of the language at the end of Bulletstorm's development, when he read the Polish translation of the game. Even after admitting he too swears a lot, the game's script still made blush.
