The first batch of Battlefield 3 downloadable content, the retro-themed "Back to Karkand," will arrive this December, EA revealed today. An exact date has yet to be mentioned, though as we were reminded yesterday, PlayStation 3 owners will get the add-on a week early.
This flashback pack includes the maps "Strike at Karkand," "Wake Island," "Gulf of Oman," and "Sharqi Peninsula," all of which have been rebuilt to utilize the new Frostbite 2 engine.
Those who bought a "Limited Edition" of Battlefield 3--which is basically everyone at this point--will get the add-on for free.
