Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will feature cross-platform play, multitude of control options on PS3

Kotaku reports that Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the recently announced sequel updated version to Counter-Strike 2, will feature cross-platform support between the PC/Mac and PlayStation 3. Obviously, without Steamworks on Xbox 360, Microsoft's green-ringed console is forced to stay out in the cold.

There will also be quite a few ways in which players on the PlayStation 3 can play Global Offensive: with a regular DualShock 3 controller, a Move controller set-up, and lastly a keyboard and mouse hyper-combo.

In terms of controller options on Xbox 360, the system is now left out in hurricane Irene.
