Bethesda Announces Dishonored: The baby of Deus Ex and Half-Life 2

The August issue of GameInformer is all about Dishonored, a "first-person stealth/action-adventure" title from Bethesda Softworks. Raf Colantonio and his team at Arkane Sutdios (Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic) are heading the project, along with Deus Ex's Harvey Smith as co-director and Half-Life 2's City 17 designer Viktor Antonov envisioning Dishonored's world.

Game Informer has a lot to say about Dishonored, y'know, seeing as how they've seen the game in action. According to them, Dishonored is a game where setting up traps is key, along with slipping in and out of an area without being spotted. In short, Dishonored is a game "about morality and player choice where the world you create is based on your actions, not navigating conversation trees."

Sounds very, very interesting to say the least. I'm all for a shooter straying away from the "norm" that shooters have become. We'll find out more in the August issue of GameInformer.
