If you have already played the Gears of War 3 beta, the good news is that you will be able to invite one friend. If you're thinking, "well, I have more than one friend I want to get interested in the game!", you have some additional ways of getting more friend tokens to share:
1) Purchase any Gears content off of the Xbox Live Marketplace
2) Add a 12-month Xbox Live Gold subscription to your account
According to Joystiq.com, "tokens can also be earned by having played 20 hours or more of the Gears 3 beta -- time already spent does count -- and by playing more than 100 hours of 'any Gears of War title, lifetime to data.'"
In all, you can earn up to five tokens, but you only have until May 4 to do so, so you better get busy! The Gears 3 beta will be ending on May 15, so this will allow you a full week to play with your friends, and get a taste of things to come.
