Brink Releasing One Week Earlier

Bethesda Softworks announced this morning that their upcoming first-person shooter Brink will be releasing one week earlier than originally announced. This makes the game's release date May 10 instead of May 17 in North America, and May 13 instead of May 20 in Europe.

Pete Hines, Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing, stated that the team wrapped up production on Brink sooner than expected, and that they "didn't see any reason to keep gamers from getting their hands on this highly anticipated game as soon as it was ready." Quite the admirable move; games are usually pushed back a few weeks...or, months.

Brink is being developed by Splash Damage, a team that is well known in the multi-player field, and will feature single-player, co-operative, and multiplayer modes.

Brink will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
