Europe getting PAYDAY November 2

After a brief delay, Overkill Software's co-operative heist adventure, PAYDAY: The Heist, will finally be available for download in Europe on November 2.

Unfortunately, it's a bit of a bad time for PAYDAY, what with Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3 and Modern Warfare 3 now at the helm. Still, this should stay on your radar for the future, as its fresh take on the shooter genre is quite enjoyable, which you can read about in our review.

Debrief: PAYDAY: The Heist

Oddly enough, one sub-genre that hasn't been explored much in the first-person shooter realm is heisting, be it bank heisting or any other kind of robbery. Given its nature, a game revolving around heists could make for a perfect co-operative shooter--if done correctly, that is.

Overkill Software, comprised of members from the late developer Grin, are attempting to fill the void with their downloadable co-operative first-person shooter, PAYDAY: The Heist. Packing in six levels, four-player co-op, and a crazy amount of unlocks for only $19.99, PAYDAY seems like it should be the ideal purchase in which it sounds, but a few things go awry in this quest for riches.

PAYDAY is coming October 18

This is it. You're finally getting paid. Well, you're at least going to attempt to get paid in one of the many heists you can conduct in PAYDAY: The Heist, which now has an October 18 release date. Hey, that's next Tuesday!

After being delayed for further polishing, Sony Online Entertainment's and Overkill Software's co-operative heist shooter promises to provide "continued replayability," and after viewing the game's newest trailer, how can you argue?

Your PAYDAY has been delayed, sorry

October 4 was set to be a big day--RAGE and Dark Souls will finally hit shelves, the new iPhone is rumored to be announced, and Overkill Software's first-person heist adventure, PAYDAY: The Heist, was set to release on the PlayStation Store. The keyword in that last part is "was," as Sony Online Entertainment and Overkill have delayed PAYDAY in order to "ensure overall game quality."

Those who purchased the select four PSN titles in the PlayStation PLAY event will still be rewarded with a free download of PAYDAY, so don't fret.

Remember, the difference between ordinary and extraordinary...is just that little bit extra.

Your Payday will come this October

Of the many downloadable titles coming out this year, the PlayStation Network exclusive Payday: The Heist is among the few that you should have your eye on. This co-op centric first-person shooter has you pulling a Ben Affleck robbing every bank in sight, and working as a team as you take on "incredibly intense situations."

Payday has been dated today, and you can get your lump-sum of cash on October 4 for $19.99.
