Two posts today regarding a game being banned, and this time we head to Germany, where the country has banned the Techland's open-world zombie killer, Dead Island.
"This isn't unexpected," Techland said to Eurogamer. "Germany has its unique regulations regarding video games and violence and the industry can only comply."
Dead Island is now tagged as "List B," and joins the rankings of other such items that can't be sold anywhere in Germany, and those caught doing so will be punished by law. "List B" usually entails the content contains either extreme torture or Nazis, though it's unknown why Dead Island is categorized here.
Importing is not much of an option, either, since online retailers like Play and Amazon run the risk of their cargo being seized at German customs.
